Sir William Fraser was head of the Scottish Prosecution Service. He was such a nice guy, I had to work hard to make him look stern.

John Houston was one of the nicest people I photographed. His wife was Elizabeth Blackadder, a well know artist in her own right.

Bill Gillon's paintings were so realistic that I wanted the photograph to look as though the dog was leaping off the canvas to attack him!

George Alexander Eugene Douglas ‘Dawyck’ Haig, 2nd Earl Haig lived in a castle. His atelier was in one of the turrets. He answered the door himself!
